Today I will talk about how to make fluffy yarn-balls. I featured them in the recent cherry post, where I used them as cherries for the hair clips.

Alright, it's very simple to make these and all you need is;
♪ Yarn, in whatever colour you like
♪ Paper, preferably the harder type
♪ Sewing thread
♪ A pencil
♪ Scissors
Start off by drawing a circle with a smaller circle in the middle. The size of the outer circle determinates the size of the ball itself and the inner circle determinates how rich the fluffness will be. Bigger hole = more fluff and vice versa. I believe my circle was 3 cm in diameter ( 1.18 inches).
Fold the paper in two and cut out the circle.
Cut out the inner circle too!
Now, wrap the yarn around both the paper circles and tie a knot.
Keep wrapping it all the way around.
Aaaall the way around, over and over again
optional step, have a cat capture your progress
Keep wrapping until it looks something like this!
Cut it open by the sides
Now, take your sewing thread and place it between the two papers inside the ball. Wrap the thread around the ball a few times and secure it with a knot.
Thread goes here! ^
Gently remove the papers
And you're done! Like I said, these can be used for lots of stuff, be made in various sizes and colours and are actually pretty fun to make.
Until next time!
